The new variants are announced to be priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 10,999 while the earlier variant of the smartphone was launched at the price of Rs 9,999.
The two new variants of the F103 smartphone come with 1 GB RAM and 3 GB RAM while a few other features remain almost the same as the original variant.
To recall, the smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop while featuring a 5 inch HD IPS Display with Dragontrail glass protecting it from scratches.
The F103 smartphone comes powered by a 64 bit 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor which it comes in colors like Pearl White, Dawn White and Black.
Speaking on the camera section, the F103 comes with an 8 MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and aperture f/2.2 and the front facing camera comes with a 5 MP sensor.
The smartphone comes with 16 GB internal storagw which can be expanded via microSD card.
Along with this, much like many other smartphones, the F103 comes with 4G compatibility and also supports WiFi, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and MicroUSB connectivity.
Powering this device is a 2,400 mAh battery.
Having said this, it is also worth noting that the F103 smartphone by Gionee is the company’s first device to be manufactured in India along side the Make in India initiative.
The smartphone is being manufactured at the Foxconn plant in Andhra Pradesh.
